Having achieved a BA Education and Master of Public Administration qualification, Oupa is currently pursuing a PhD in Business leadership. His extensive business and academic background has contributed enormously in shaping Comperio and its group of Companies.
Oupa was appointed as Charmain of the board for Comperio Group of Companies in 2018.
Elsje founded Comperio Forensic Services in May 2008 to focus on the fight against white collar crime and to make a difference within South African society.
Due to her knowledge of internal audit she can identify the root cause of the problem to enable management to derive a return on their investment.
Elsje started her career off at Transnet’s financial services where after she moved to Transnet Group Internal Audit (“TGAS”), managing four (4) regional offices and later became involved in the fight against corruption at various divisions of Transnet including SAA.
After resigning from TGAS, she was contracted by Manase & Associates where she performed forensic work as a project manager on inter alia Department of Minerals & Energy, MNet, Johannesburg Water and the Jali Commission.
Whilst being contracted by Manase & Associates she was contracted to SABC on a co-sourcing basis to establish an Internal Audit Division, including Forensic department.
Elsje’s field of expertise within forensic services is focusing on corrective action to prevent recurrence of the control breakdown.
Anton joined Comperio in 2018 in the capacity of Group Director for Operations and Human Resources. Anton studied at the Central University of Technology, Bloemfontein and completed his B-TEC Marketing 3-year Diploma
With over ten years’ experience in Project Management & Operations and close to 4 years’ experience in Senior Management having managed a portfolio of 4 companies generating in excess of ZAR 80 million in turnover annually, 1000+ employees and extensive experience in the Fashion apparel, Advertising, Banking, IT hardware, Telecoms, General Consumer Goods and FMCG markets ensures Anton brings a broad business perspective to the Comperio leadership with a focus on operational efficiency.
Palesa is a rising star in the Comperio family, with 6 years of Forensic Investigation, Law and Information Technology experience behind her.
Palesa has shot her way up the ranks to take a strategic role the aligns the Forensics and Security business units in a meaningful way. Palesa was made a Comperio Consulting shareholder in 2016.

Palesa is currently in the process of completing her studies in Commercial forensic accounting and investigations. Palesa is also an active member of the Institute of Commercial fraud practitioners (ICFP)
Palesa’s knowledge on Disciplinary hearings, criminal and civil investigations, tender irregularities, taxation law and legislation has made her a key pillar in our organisation
Rose Mashaba (Non-Executive Director)
Rose joined Comperio in 2018 and has been tasked with growing our Private companies portfolio.
Rose completed her National Diploma (Mechanical Engineering) in 1993 and went on to complete her Bcom in Business Management through UNISA in 2016.
Having started her career at Eskom as a Fitter and Turner, she went on to successful stints at Barloworld as a Technical Sales Team Leader and at Donaldson Filtration Systems as an Applications Engineer before taking time off to further her studies.
Rose worked herself up to develop skills and gained more experience in relationship building with outstanding communication, and marketing skills; which inspire confidence and loyalty. A highly efficient individual with extensive team leadership experience.
She was engaged with both local and international organizations such as Anglo-American Group, Exxaro, Unilever Group, Lafarge Group, Sasol, Specpharm Holdings, SAB, BMW, Tigerbrand, Lonmin, Implats, Sibanye, BHP Billiton, British American, AVI, Tobacco, AFGRI, and SAA in Sub-Sahara region of Africa.
Bernhard Prenzler (Company Secretary)
Bernhard started his career in 1997 at the Auditor-General and joined Gauteng Audit Services in 2005 to start up and head their Risk Management and Performance Audit unit.
Bernhard joined Comperio Forensics in December 2009 to further his career as a forensic audit specialist and to play a more active role in fraud awareness and prevention.
Bernhard joined Grant Thornton Business Risk Services in January 2008 as a Senior Manager and was responsible for all audits conducted in the public sector including forensic audits and special investigations. He was promoted to Head: Public Sector Advisory in July 2009.
He is an accomplished speaker at conferences, served on the Quality Assurance Review Panel of the Public Accountants and Auditor’s Board and has lectured auditing to 3rd year students at the Department of Accounting Studies, Technikon Pretoria. Bernhard established the GSSC as an accredited SAICA TOPP training institute for trainee accountants to serve their articles within the public service.
He wrote an article for the IIA Adviser called “Performance Auditing at Gauteng Audit Services – Taking the Gauteng Provincial Government to New Heights in Public Service Delivery” and he is also an IIA accredited Quality Assurance validator.
